SInce we are talking birds may I tell you about our new farm? OT!!!
|
Hi Ellen The new Whitby store is at 229 Brock Street North and it is called Kniterary. If you take the Brock street (not Brock Road) cutoff from the 401 and head straight north, it is about 2-3 city blocks north of the main intersection on your right. It is on a corner and has lots of parking in the back. I might just take a drive to Warkworth one of these days to check out the shop there. If you want to communicate with me more, my email address is ev.don at rogers dot com. Hopefully we wil get to meet each other one day. Yes, I know where the big apple is. You are in the heart of apple country....how nice. Evelyn

Sample skeins arrived today
|
I don`t think that buying into the mini skeins would change anything. I get them and they always come about the 5th or 6th day of the month. Others in, ahem, "a different country" get theirs long before I do. But, it`s worth waiting for a good thing...right? Evelyn

Oh Emily...She is a beauty!
|
Hi Emily I also have a hyperthyroid cat. At first she was everything you have described about yours. I requested a topical medication. She is on tapazole too and that`s all they need because when the thyroid is stabilized, the vomiting etc. goes away.
The mediction comes in a preloaded syringe (without the needle). You squeeze the correct dosage onto the back of a spoon and then just rub it inside her ear. You can do it while you are petting and talking to her and she doesn`t even notice it. My cat was very sick in the beginning but now (at 17 years old) she is as frisky as a new kitten. I take her for blood work every 6 months and I take her in a cage and just hand her over to them and they take her away and get the blood. You know they are just like children in that they like to put on a show for Mommy. I wish you all the best and I know very well the feeling you get in your stomach when you realize your little kitty is ill. Keep us posted. Evelyn

Thank You All

I agaree with everyone`s comments. I too have gone to "other sites" and one thing I have found is the questionabale language that some people feel the need to use. I commented on one about this language and asked if it was really necessary and I got the biggest verbal reprimand you ever saw.
I think that the Elann people have the grace and dignity to talk about their beloved hobby without feeling the need to use disgraceful language. Now, I`m really sounding old.
As others have said before, you can`t create a group of classy girls unless you have a classy one at the helm. You say Ann, that you have changes planned. Well, if they are anything like what you have done so far, they will be welcome exciting changes that we will all embrace.
Keep up the great work. Evelyn

My hat is up!

Libby, I absolutely love your chemo cap. You are so talented...and it is knit so beautifully. I worked in the chemo clinic and I know how much the cancer patients would love it. It takes care of all the areas that get cold plus it is a fashion statement. Way to go girl...you make us proud! Evelyn

My computer just scared the heck out of me! Aaack!!!!
|
Jayne, even though your in box says empty, the emails are in the computer somewhere. I have had times when I have lost it all but for some reason, while I`m fooling around with it, it reapears. My computer guy says that nothing is ever lost for good on a computer. You just have to be patient when looking for it. Good Luck. Evelyn
