Ok, y`all-holidays are OVER, we`re in overdrive now- I have had to put some stuff in the washer for up to 6 cycles. Sometimes it helps to take it out, let it dry and do it again another day. Highland Wool is the darling of felted items. My washer is a top loading but doesn`t have a gyrator. It just kind of bounces about so it takes longer. The highland wool usually takes 2 cycles.

FELTING There is no reason why it wouldn`t felt nicely. It is the same composition as the Lamb`s Pride wool which is a luxurious felting material.
Heathered wool felts nicely with a hint of the other colour peeking out from the main colour. You get a really beautiful resul with heathered wool.

Thank you Elann... I would like to thank you also but for a different reason. When I logged in today, I was pleasantly surprised to see the new opening page with a welcome Evelyn on it. What a nice personal touch. It`s these little things that make shopping here such a pleasure. Not to mention, that the yarns are fantastic and the service and the prices etc. etc. etc.

Regarding you not being able to find something comfortable. My son is an anaplastologist, who is a person who reconstructs body parts that are missing. He`s not a medical doctor but an artist and he has come up with an extremely natural gadget to put into your own bra that is comfortable, the same weight as your own breasts and the hospitals love it. We live near Toronto, Canada but he is working with patients from Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina cancer unit. He also works from John`s Hopkins medical center in Boston. If you are near either of those places you might want to enquire about this service. I believe there is no cost to the patient, just approximately $900.00 that is covered by most insurance plans. Both of these hospitals are trying to have him there full time but he prefers to work from his studio at home and travel to see the patients every couple of months.

Speaking of knitting in the round & knitting round things Hi Ricki
this is a very different product. My son is the only one who has made these and so far the only recipients live in the Toronto, Canada area. He gained a lot of experience doing movie prosthetics. In the movie Truman, he was the one who made the actor look like Truman and he did all the prosthetic work in all of the X-Men movies with Halle Berry.
If any of you have seen the Telus commercials in Western Canada, my son is the one who made the little blowfish. He is currently making me custom hand splints to keep me knitting. My hands are deforming quickly from arthritis.
