Sonata bag sale - who`s looking for a real savings?
|
Sonata is such a great yarn and I love it. I have a lot of it to back up that statement. I am going to have to pull an Elvis and shoot my computer to keep from ordering a few bags. What colors is everyone looking at? I love the silver sage, light sage, fresh pesto, ruby and the deep fuchsia. I also love all the blues and the orchids. Oh heck, I just love it all!

So, I`ve got good news and bad news - for now

Thanks, everyone, y`all are the best! Saw my internist today, he ordered a stress test to rule out heart problems. He made me feel better, told me I was really early in the recovery game for this and 6 months out, I might be telling him I`m feeling better. I love that guy and told him so in Thom`s presence. :)

YOu are so right, Daryl, he is the voice of reason and he really listens. He knows me so well, has for at least 15 years and said I am expecting too much of myself and am pushing myself too hard. I feel like such a wimpfor still having pain but he said I wasn`t a wimp by a long shot, so that helps because I do trust him and his judgment. Thom just looked at me and said, "I told you so, but you wouldn`t believe me." HA!

Moth Orchid Shawl
|
This shawl is so beautiful, SK, and I love this yarn, so soft. I love the orchid but the lighter green is beautiful and so is the raspberry. I love so many colors, it`s always hard to pick a favorite. :) I do love the Estonian lace in this yarn,it looks lovely.

So, the doc said I have the heart of an athlete...

He didn`t say what kind of athlete but I`m hoping he didn`t mean card shark or pool player. :) I took a treadmill test and he said my EKG was perfect but I needed a personal trainer to help me with conditioning to come back from surgery. He did laugh after he said that so I`m not sure but I think he was kidding. :) I told Thom about my visit and he said the guy was flirting with me. I said he couldn`t be, I wasn`t wearing THE red sweater. HA! I was wearing my HOUSE t-shirt- you can see it at http://tinyurl.com/cqduc9 )
We actually ended up talking about our favorite art museums, artists and works of art more than my heart. He was originally from South Africa but has been in the US for a while, very interesting guy.
Very relieved to find at least one thing is working right. Racking up another round of good luck. :)

Dawn is going to be thrilled with it. I love the idea of knitting fish and turtles. I remember seeing a washcloth/dishcloth pattern with a very cool starfish on it, a starfish would be cool. Dang, now I want fried conch and a Yellow Bird, of course, I want them on Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. Let`s go and celebrate our birthdays (doesn`t matter when they were) and Lucy and Ethel`s birthdays too. :)

Today`s Offering - Beautiful Sonata skirt!
|
I love the skirt in Sonata from Twist. For myself, I would probably leave off the ribbon at the bottom but I like the construction very much. I think the gores would really help eliminate any of the problems that many cotton skirts have with losing shape or bagging and I`ve found Sonata holds it`s shape very well anyway. It would be really pretty with the ribbon for a younger woman, worn with a romantic, lacey top and some sexy sandals. Fun stuff. :)

Oh jeez, I didn`t even think about the shirt being risque! Now my face is red! I think looking foolish is a good character builder every now and then. My character gets a good workout at that! ;)
The doctor said he thought Cezanne was a much better artist than Van Gogh and should have the acclaim that Van Gogh had instead of running behind. He laughed when I told him I agreed but Cezanne`s problem was that he had both of his ears. :)
