And here I thought there was a problem with my computer when there were no messages on the chat center. Yes, how quiet we are!
Personally, I`ve been kinda busy and kinda not feeling quite right! Everyone must be enjoying summer!

I`ve been thinking that some odd sort of systems crash had affected Elann`s website.
Audiobooks are keeping me from posting; can`t write and listen at the same time.

It was 107 here today. I am trying to get old house ready for rental condition. It is HOT as He double hockey sticks. DH started a new job yesterday.
I need cheese advice. My mozzerella was no good, but my ricotta was fine.

My internet is back. I spent most of the day sleeping. I am really really tired after sneaking in a little cleaning the other day when Thom went to Nashville.
I hope to be mouthier in a few days. :)

I have limited internet time, mostly it`s stolen moments as I`m passing from here to there. So I don`t get much time to sit down and do anything on the computer that requires much concentration. (hmmm... may explain why I have trouble focusing and am easily distracted)
I`ve been doing a lot of reading - both printed books & audio books - and playing Tiger Woods golf (10 with the motion thingie) and DDR. (Oh and the usual housework, pulling weeds, etc)

umm..it`s been REAALLLY hot here..record breaking...80s every day for over a week...I know it`s not 107 but Alaskans are not used to the heat. And I`ve been hiking...a lot..and knitting..a bit. Finished my Cosima in the Seta Lana but tooo hot to model/photoshoot...working on Eastlake in the Louisa Harding Kashmir Aran from a while back. That`s all to report.

I`ve been spending more time writing and reading. One of my friends is being published in short story anthologies and has a novelette coming out in November. I know I have to start trying that sort of thing, but it is hard. I`m also running the little online writing school at the site where I archive my stories, and that has been very very time consuming -Lord save me from fanatical Snape fans!

I too thought something was wrong that no one was posting. I`ve also been very busy at work and home. DH was diagnosed with herniated disk that is pinching a nerve. We`ve been to three neurosurgeons and luckily any thought of operation is a ways off. DH now on physical therapy and only taking asprin for pain. This is the first health crisis for DH and he is a bit stunned by it.
I`ve been knitting away. I have amassed lots of Adrienne Vittadini patterns from many Vogues over the years and now I am matching yarn from the stash to go with the patterns.

I`ve been busy knitting up a storm. All this fabulous Linen! I think my FAV is the Linen chic! YummmmOhhh:-)
Other than that, I just got back from a quick trip to Calgary and am busy planning a trip out to Jasper for a week to party with you/Billie and my best bud Nancy. (Nancy and my DH, Tracy, share the same B-day on August 13th!)
I have also been busy trying to keep warm! We had a frost warning last night and it`s still a chilly 14C or about 60F....Lotsa shawl and sweater wearing this week!Brrrr!

Lots of construction work going on here (sigh!). And since I decided (don`t ask what was I thinking...) to do the painting in the garage and other small areas all over, knitting time or fun time has been replaced by exhausted-fall-asleep-as-soon-as-I-sit-down-time...A few more weeks before we go back to normal, I hope.
