Well, I went and had one of nastiest tests going, I won`t go into details, no need to spread the trauma, and I failed in spades. Next stop - surgeon. He`s already been called and it doesn`t sound like laproscopic but we`ll see. The test aggravated my esophagus so much, I ended back up in the hospital with esophageal spasms. Home now but I`ve been better. Tomorrow, back to knitting, come hell or high water! :)

Oh Benne. What a day. I think you`ve earned a week of knitting at least. Hang in there.

Oh, dear! I hope your esophagus gets to feeling better very soon - it`s probably keeping you from eating much, and you`re far too skinny! Go knit, fondle some soft yarns, browse the patterns, indulge yourself!!

Well, maybe the surgery won`t be as bad as the tests. In any event, it you will get to the other side of this and it will be all good.

Benne, I wish you wonderfully fast recovery time without pain. I`ve heard about a test in that part of the anatomy and my doctor said it wasn`t pleasant!
Sorry to have you getting so well acquainted with the hospital.
Enjoy your quiet time, read and knit. We`ll be thinking of you.
Big Hugs, Jamie

Oh Benne, I`m so sorry that the test was so nasty and hope that the surgery will correct the esophageal problem. Just know that I am thinking about you I have put you on our prayer list at church.

Enjoy many hours/days/weeks of knitting.

Love,
Denise

Thanks so much, I am encouraged to know what is wrong and that there is hope for improvement. I don`t think it will be a long hospital stay like last time but I probably won`t be worth a plug nickel for a while. Oh wait, I haven`t been anyway, so basically, no change. ;)

I have a life list of things I`d rather not do again. Today was one of those. I want to work on the list of things I`d like to do again or even the first time, like get all of us together somewhere. :)

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I have great friends here.

Good attitude, Benne! Knowing what`s wrong is a relief. And a life list (good and bad) should be a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants the most out of life.

Benne....So sorry to hear you are going through a difficult time again. I think after this is fixed, you will have all new parts and be ready to outlive all of us. I think most of us face an overhaul of our working parts in our lifetime but this is rediculous. You have had far too many.
When I was nursing I made a list of the "tests" that I was never, ever going to partake of and I have had to remind my doc a few times about that list.
I wish all the best for you and wouldn`t it be wonderful if we could all meet up somewhere someday.
Thinking of you.....Evelyn

I`m on the better to flunk and finally know what to do about it bandwagon. Surgery may not be fun, but what a relief to be able to identify a fixable problem. A chance to cut is a chance to cure! Now this time, tell your body to read the book and respond in the appropriate fashion so you can get better.

Oh Benne, I am so sorry. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all better again. Or at least give you a big hug.
You are still in my prayers, sweetie.

I up and cheery this morning and thank each of you for your thoughts and prayers, it`s a good day, the sun is shining and if I get fixed I can travel again. Travel means I might get to see some of you! Evelyn, you`re right, I think I should be finishing up getting all those creaky parts fixed this time. :)

Dear Benne: Hope you are well again fast. I had a very difficult time here, too. It was a bad winter and spring for me. All I can do is garter one after another to keep me calm. Thinking about you often. Take care, you are a very brave girl.

SK,I am so sorry about your difficult times. We all love you here and I am sending you lots of love and hugs. I think this site has a bunch of strong women who care about one another very much. You and I can garter stitch together, I wish we were closer geographically so we could help one another pick up our dropped stitches in our knitting and lives.
