So, Happy Canada Day to all us Canadians. We should be happy-- this is a very nice place to live, whether we arrived by fortunate accident of birth, or by making the move here. We have perfect weather here in Ontario, so it is time to party, and to get ready to watch the sky tonight.

Enjoy the day and all of the fun! Besides fireworks, what other sorts of celebrations are traditional?
The 4th of July parties and cookouts will probably start Thursday. Our house is perfectly situated to enjoy the city fireworks display, without having to deal with the crowds at the outdoor amphitheater. Or the fumes!

Neat-- we live on a hill sort of equidistant to three small towns, so I`m hoping to not have to budge. Two years ago we were camping on a cliff on Grand Manan-- New Brunswick and Maine to our right, Ireland off somewhere to our left. The fireworks both days, seen from high and far away were spectacular. Wish I was there now!

Ellen....where in Ontario do you live? I`m in Oshawa, an hour east of Toronto. Last night our neighbours behind us had a huge fireworks display....over $600.00 worth and we got to see it while sitting on our balcony. Absolutely beautiful.......Evelyn

I`m technically in Campbellford, although really we are closer to Warkworth. We lived for 30 years in Highland Creek; my husband worked in Whitby Bought a farm for sheep last year--we have Border Collies who herd-- still no sheep, but we progress. I noticed a neat looking yarn store in Oshawa last week ( my accountant is there ) Is it good?
