Well, tomorrow at 5:30 AM, I`m to be at Florida Hospital for knee replacement surgery(gulp). DD#3 and her hubby will be taking me. I miss my house and home in NM, but They take good care of me here until I can fly home.I have been on a yarn buying spree here because of all the tempting bargains and beautiful yarn Elann has been offering. I`m glad the colors I coveted in DB Cathay were gone by the time I got there. One less white box to carry home. Can`t take laptop to hospital, so will check out all when I get out of re-hab. Two and a half weeks until then. Evie

I`ll be thinking about you tomorrow, Evie, while you`re getting a new knee. When you get back to DD`s house, check in and let us know how you are doing. I was able to use my laptop in the hospital, DH bought it for me and brought it to the hospital because he knew I`d go nuts. Good thing, I ended up spending nearly a month in the hospital all together so I would have been really cranky. ;-) Luckily, the hospital had a wireless network for patients to sign on as guests. I didn`t order anything while I was in the hospital, I wasn`t comfortable putting my credit card on their wireless network but I was able to chat here when I felt up to it. Also ordering yarn under the influence of narcotics is not usually a good idea. HA!

Take care, do what the docs and nurses tell you, we`ll be here when you get back. :-)

Good luck evie. I will be watching your recovery, as I am supposed to have my knee done sometime this year. I am a big chicken.
Wafting healing thoughts your way. Let us know how it goes.

Good Luck to you Evie. I`ll be remembering when I had it done 6 years ago. Time flies. I had both knees done at the same time, so it will be a piece of cake for you. Be nice to the nurses and they will treat you special. Whenever anyone complains about a nurse, it`s usually because the patient has been very snarly with the nurse. And, Use the drugs when you need them. They don`t give out any gold stars for being stoic. You will heal faster if the body doesn`t have to deal with excess pain.
We`ll be waiting to hear from you when you can.

You are probably in surgery NOW, Evie. I hope you packed a sufficient amount of yarn to get you thru the first weeks, with easy "I can do this on meds" patterns!

Hug!

Evie,

Good luck on your surgery, I hope you are walking with ease and free of pain real soon. Enjoy your yarn buys and report when you can on what you are making and how you are recovering.

Oh Evie - I truly feel for you. I don`t get on the chat every day, so by now you are done with the surgery and the `hard` part begins. Just remember, this to will pass..... and soon you will be pain free so you will be able to run to the mail box for those white boxes! Praying for highest and best for you!!
