And can give us the run down stitch wise on what looks like a precious sheep version of the knitted babe?

Amy, did you try using babelfish? Gerlinde is German. Maybe she will see this. The garn studio drops site has translations for knitting terms in a bunch of languages, including German. If none of that works, I`ll get out my foreign language knitting dictionary.

I have not had much success with babelfish and marie claire. But Garn studio drops may be the answer. But if any of you German speakers want to jump in there, Jean, did you pick up German Knitting overseas?

The book, Knitting Languages, by Margaret Heathman, is very helpful for making sense of patterns published in another language. We have sold out of this book right now, but we receive new stock of books regularly, about once a month.

I`ll forward it to DSIL and see if he can give a quick translation. He`s German and he knits.

I answered your message twice but neither seems to be posted. I did a rough translation on the pattern and forwarded it to Christian (SDIL) for him to check. He`s German and knits. Maybe an answer soon.

`Pommel` is so cute. Wouldn`t he be cute in the Easter basket? I know a little German, but not knitting vocab. - Hope someone can translate, he would be fun to do. If not, I bet with a German dictionary, we could figure it out!
