I just wanted you to know that I can make hats. I found this one at http://filambulle.blogspot.com/2007/04my-noro-hat-free-form-recipe.html
I know I`m not as good as Ms. Betsy but I`m trying.
This pattern was written in English by a Swedish blogger and even she admits it is poorly written. I found you just have to stare at the page long enough until it comes to you just exactly what she is trying to say. Sure didn`t take long to knit.

Dang, I was hoping for a picture. I had to laugh at your description-I went thru the same thing myself!

I had to smile at your caption under your hat. It is sooooo cold over here that I`ll risk looking stupid. It was in the negative temps this morning and it hurt to breathe when I went to work this morning at 6:20am.
I am getting good use of my snowflake hat.

Ha! Every time My DH puts on a hat, he looks like he is about to go stand in the soup line somewhere. And his freakishly large head looks freakishly normal, till the hat goes on, and then, BAMO - the truth is revealed!!!!!
So you at least probably look better in a hat than he does, as if this is any comfort...or as if you needed any! LOL

I like your hat, Evelyn! Pretty and I`ll bet it`s pretty on you too. BTW, I have a hat and coat ensemble that made Tony, my DMM (darling mailman for anyone new) laugh out loud one day when I showed up at the mailbox in it. So, if you think you don`t look good in that hat, trust me, you can`t look as bad as I do in my get-up. Thom calls it my baglady outfit. ;-)

I love your hat Evelyn. Beautiful color and I know the yarn must be super soft. I can`t wear tams, they look goofy on me. I made one once, it was too big. So I felted it and put it over a dinner plate to dry. Guess what, it looks like a fuzzy dinner plate on my head. go figure :-)
