Not that I needed this right now.... someone dropped a little kitten off. She/he took up under my deck and laundry room and meowed constantly. It is so frightened it took me a few days to get it anywhere near me. I gave it food and water and was trying to gain it`s confidence, but DS rushed this approach and trapped it and brought it into the house and let it loose. Poor thing was sooo scared. Somehow got up into the lazy boy recliner. I am not sure how, but it was up there to where we couldn`t even see it. Stayed there about 1/2 day, then after getting into my cabinets, behind the fridge and stove and then into the corner of the laundry room behind the dryer. I turned my back to get a broom, and it disappeared. I stopped hearing it`s meows. I thought it squeezed through the vent and took off. My laundry room is hot - no AC and there is a sky light. Later that evening we heard the meows again, and found it inside of the washer - went into a hole in the back. The dog, Dixie, was acting very funny when I brought her in - smelling the washer and dryer. She knew, but I couldn`t find it! Anyway, we got it into the house, gave it more food and water and got the litter box out. It is a real good eater, is using the litter box, very playful and curious. I still can`t get my hands on it - but I think it willbe a sweet cat, it is just so scared. It is tortise shell coloring, may be going to have long hair, I am not sure. My cat`s name is Madaline. Any great name ideas??? You guys are so clever and I am drawing a blank!!!

I love naming the animals, but I am drawing a blank. Guess I have to figure out if it is a he or a she. I am making two lists right now. DD says to knock my self out.... now that she has a new boyfriend, she doesn`t have time for anything else!!! It`s really funny how her personality changes when there is a guy in her life.

Sounds like KITTY may be just what you need in your life. A name can wait or there are some that are good for both sexes. Enjoy your new kitty!

Oh I know.... choosing a name is a `process`! Will get it to the vet as soon as we can get our hands on it and I am able.

You may be right to just wait a few days. The kitten may tell you what its name is. It sounds like a lovely cat.

I think he is telling you to call him
FRAIDY` as in fraidy cat. They are the sweetest addition to any household and he came to you for a good reason. Just what the doctor (or nurse) ordered for you right now Cheryl.

Cheryl,
A new kitten is a wonderful addition right now. I`m with CBM on this one. Give it a few days and see what sticks.

Have fun! Bri

Just a quick kitty update - by Sunday morning I was picking her up- she didn`t even try to run and just sat and purred. Makes me think she must have been handled some when she was born and someone dropped her off. A true Wild kitten wouldn`t be this easy to tame. I don`t see any evudebce of her being a boy, so ... She is still afrain of DS as he moves faster and hasn`t spent the time with her that I have. She loves to play.

I`m so glad you are giving her(?) a home. I love kittens! I have cats named Cleopatra (I named her) and Wooten (my husband named him). A name will come to you. :-)
