So nice to meet you Connie! Wow, you have made so much knitting progress for a new knitter ... leaps and bounds! Wow. (I`m still stuck at simple wash cloths, hats, scarves... nowhere near any kind of top) I think it is so cool that you are teaching your mom to knit.

Welcome, Connie! The birdhouse bags are adorable.
I`m wondering where Mint Hill is in NC? My husband and I are looking at property in various locations in NC to retire. Maybe we`ll be neighbors someday. :)

Hi Josie,

Mint Hill is south of Charlotte. In fact my address is Charlotte or Mint Hill, but us Mint Hillian`s are a proud sort...LOL

We could be neighbors, wouldn`t that be cool. Just holler at me when you are up this way and maybe we could get together if you are close enough.

Hi Jayne,
Someone else asked me that and no it`s not. If you could tell me what webring or send me the link, I would love to get on the ring.

Wow! You all are so kind with your compliments and what a wonderful welcome you`ve given me! I too am amazed that I haven`t learned to knit until now, in fact I never even crocheted garments until last summer.

I think when you get into your late 40`s you definitely turn smarter, don`t you? So, by the time I hit 50 I should be a genius...LOL

Thanks again for your kind words everyone!

Connie,

Hello and welcome to our group. I love your bird house bags. I agree with the others, you have accomplished a lot of knitting skill in a short time, just think how much you will learn here at this site. I know my knitting has improved since I started learning from the women at this site! Good to meet you.

Good Girl!!! It`s so much easier to have a "conversation" when I can put a face to who I`m talking to!!

HUGE thanks, and of course, welcome!

Hi Della! Nice to "meet" you, but sorry to hear about your injuries! Do you ride at all now, or is that out of the question?

I have been to SC (once, but I`d love to return). Charleston is a city I want to explore more.

Welcome to Elann, home of far too many enablers...
