Great sweater, Sandra! As a note to you and Kelly, I made the rib vest (http://www.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=193024) after seeing the one Diane made. I loved the pattern but I didn`t post any pics because DH (after the fact) said it looked like I was wearing a rug!?!! I`d used chenille from the stash...good idea at the time. He later agreed that a lighter weight yarn would have made all the difference in the world...well, that`s what I remember him saying!

Hi Sandra! The wisp is the Knitty pattern--it`s a scarf that can be buttoned up. It`s a clever little pattern. It`s super quick--I`m already on my second one.
The lace rib vest is the Elann pattern offered with that Mr. Joe Montepulciano. I loved it when I first saw it on Margaux, but then everything looks good on her. It`s still to early to tell, but I`m thinking that it might be flattering on regular people too. I think another couple of days and I`ll be done so I`ll let you know.

If I was drinking coffee, I would have spit it up all over the keyboard. Billie, you crack me up! What a kind comment from the DH. At least he`s looking out for you--no one should look like they have a rug on their back. That is soooo funny...I`m still laughing!

Nothing exciting in my corner of the world. Still working on a simple Knit/Purl scarf for either an uncle or cousin, haven`t decided which yet. I really needed something brainless to knit while watching TV. My brain is a bit burnt out on the youknowwhat I recently finished, so I agree with you about exploring easy stitches. Also thinking about doing some dishcloths, but that would mean digging out the cotton yarn from the move... it might be easier to just go buy more yarn than to look for what I have, lol.
I keep thinking it`s Friday cuz I`m expecting a little white box. I was really surprised that the Filati didn`t all fly out the door in one day/morning. Why do you think that is? It seems like such lovely yarn. Anyhow, I threw in a few Cuzco balls in my order and am looking forward to seeing/feeling what y`all are talking about. I can`t even remember which colors I got, maybe red and purple, 4 balls each color I think. Seems to be my thing when sampling a new yarn, 4 balls. Thanks SK for letting me know I can knit the Cuzco into a scarf with US15 needles.
As Christmas approaches, I find myself thinking more and more about thicker yarn --> quick knits for gifts. And I`m also thinking about my new neighbors too, what could I possibly knit them when I really don`t have a good feel for their tastes?
Billie: Oy! What a comment your DH made!
Grace: People wear knit leggings? I must be out of the fashion loop. ISE5 sounds like fun. I`d love to participate in swaps like that, but I know I`d never finish a scarf before the deadline.
Sandra: Your Bebenhausen looks great! I have some HW Chunky too that I haven`t turned into anything yet. I only picked up 2 colors, 4 balls each color, to play around with and decide whether I really like the yarn, so they`ll become small projects. Maybe a hat or purse.

Whatcha all working on?
I`m (still) chipping away at SIL`s St Albans Scarf. Also trying to finish Blueberry Tea Mitts. Almost done knitting the strap for a cable bag. Doesn`t help that I have not picked up my knitting in a week (side effect of Google Chat with BFF during knitting time). Why can`t I type AND knit at the same time?

I am still working on knitting which must not be named. I bought pompom yarn this week because I have FABULOUS ideas of how to use it for small boy outfits that would be amazing-cute.

Still working on several UFOs: a cardi, mittens, baby things, the clappy from last spring. My goal is to have a most productive knitting weekend and make a dent in it before I start a marathon of baby things.
The needles are flying over here! Bri

Finished the back of my modular vest with the K1C2 Arabesque in the Raspberry Sundae. One nice thing about this project is its portability...most of the time you`re just working on a 10" square! I want to do more swatching of my Berroco Air sometime too. So far have done a little cable and chevron, the striping looks good in both. Next up is to try the Honeycomb Brioche stitch pattern used in the Leavened Raglan pullover pattern...I think that uses "knit in the row below", will be interesting to see the effect in the Air.

I just finished my Trumpet Flower Cardigan and started another Lush and Lacy in some stashed Pisco that I found deep in the bins. I really love knitting that yarn. It`s so pleasant for a cotton! I just hope I have enough and don`t have to make it sleeveless! (I got the Pisco ages ago here at Elann. I think it`s a cotton/acrylic/linen blend.)

Which vest was that, Sandra? I`ve had blinders on to new projects-I remember seeing it-it wasn`t creative knitting it was....?

Finished the Minimalist Cardi last week and need to block it before I seam it. Right now the only thing I`m working on is a scarf, though there is another and a pair of socks stalled out short-term. I`m in the middle of a series of books and doing a lot of reading.

Yes, it was from September`08` Creative Knitting and was also on the cover. It seems to be popular, there are 99 projects finished or in-progress. Here`s the Ravelry link:

Kelly, you are quick with that Trumpet Flower! I`m eager to see pics :-) Your Pisco...is it either beige or green, if so, I have some if you need it.

Hehe! I was on a mission, Bets. I couldn`t wait to see how it would fit and there was hardly any seaming and no buttons to sew on. Sleep is overrated anyway!

I can`t wait to see the Minimalist, CBM. I have some bag sale alpaca I planned on using for that.
I have to go to Rav and see your finished Ribbi. I remember seeing a pic of your Ribbi blocking.

Thanks, Sandra! It`s the sage green. I remember you saying you had some left over from another project but that was ages ago. I`ll let you know if it looks like I`m going to run out. I`ll trade you for something:)

Finsished a shawl from a bunch of yarns held together, finished DD#1 new slippers, trying to make a dent in projects so I can start new ones. The never ending Pirouette warm ups for DD#2, turned a heel this weekend on my toe-up Monkey socks, then I have my Brown Summer`s end I had to rip out and re-do the top up and both sleeves, and my blue Katrina for DD#1. Need to make new felted clogs for me since I have wholes in my second pair, but I think DD#`s warmups get priority for thinking knitting. Time to get that OFF the needles.
