I tried using Shibori style dyeing to replicate animal prints. Because my yarn was a little damp, I ended up with a pythony print, instead of the giraffe look I was seeking. I`m posting a photo, and going back to give it a hard felt. Not perfect, but nice to know it is possible. More details on my blog.

Ooooh, I looked at your blog and I think it`s beautiful. It does look like a giraffe to me. You clever girl, you. I`m impressed. Let me know if you need some more stuff from a junk drawer. I can help you out on that. ;-}

I just thought of something. I think some of that gorgeous Habu Textiles fringe tape (really a gauzy looking wide ribbon) that they sell by the yard would be wonderful with your bag. Or how about some Louisa Harding ribbon?

I have the oval ones and round ones. Plastic tatting shuttles? long oval shape? I do have a fish shaped tatting shuttle. Well I have a couple of those. Not much good for tatting with.
Suzann umm i have a junk drawer also, maybe more then one :-}

I saw that on your blog. Way cool, and it does look giraffe-like.
Reminds me of batik.
