I guess it was more the delivery than the story! She LOVED the scarf (and I was so excited to give it to her) and had worn it to school the next day where she teaches ESL kindergarten. My friend is a very exuberant girl and her show of how po`ed she was and how she was batting it away and it getting in anyway had me laughing so hard. Luckily it didn`t get cut right off but 2 places on one ruffle looked like they were well chewed by mice! I think it is fixable without removing any ruffles. Phew!

I have a few friends who can tell a story that way too. I just plugged one of them in. :)

Sounds like the story of my DH when teaching architecture to 16 yr. olds in high school. He had a treasured Mickey Mouse tie that was basically plain with a little teeny tiny mouse in the middle. While demonstrating something using the very large paper cutter, snip...there goes Mickey right in half. He never lived it down until his retirement day. Evelyn
