Thats so cute.. the hat looks perfect. I`m sure your MIL was smiling with the Pacman hat. So nice that we can see her now!

Such a lovely lady in her new hat, Evelyn. And such a good sport to wear the before hat for us. The difference is amazing with your new machine.

Alright, Evelyn, I`ll admit your MIL looks beautiful with the hat felted. Well, okay...VERY beautiful. But it`s just not funny like the first picture...I don`t know why that first one tickles me soooo much?!! Even now, just thinking about it makes me grin wickedly...I must be warped.

I thought the other one looked pretty funny too. She was mortified that I put it out on the internet for the world to see. You would think that everyone out there would know just who that person was under there. I wonder if she could get throught security at an airport by telling them that her DIL made it for her and she "had" to wear it. Ha Ha.

BTW, that hat went through 6 full cycles in my original washer plus it was boiled on the stove for 3 hours which left it a very limp sick looking rag. I boiled, then plunged it in ice water, then boiled, then ice etc. etc. When I put it in the cheapie washer, I just turned around and it was a hat....really...only 5 minutes.

I hope it`s been a good lesson to all of us who thought that it was the knitters fault when things didn`t work out. Of course, it`s NEVER our fault !!!!!

Yes, I`m impressed you went so many rounds with it, but all worth it in the end, I bet. Your MIL is a beauty!
