I haven`t worked with the yarn but I am totally fascinated by it. I even showed it to Thom and asked him how he thought they made it. Which led to an in-depth discussion of computer graphic capabilitiesin manufacturing processes. I think I nodded off somewhere in the middle. ;-} I still don`t know how they do it but I just think it`s cool as can be. If I were a sock knitter I`d be in BIG trouble!

It`s not really my speed. Not that there`s anything wrong with it; I`m just a winter weather, natural fibers kind of gal.

Oops! My brain hit coast when I first replied. You all must have thought I was totally nuts talking about socks knitted from the Mexicali! Well, I am nuts but I still wouldn`t want socks from this yarn. ;-} I was thinking of the Big Mexiko yarn from a couple of days ago that is self-patterning. Les told me she saw a woman wearing a wrap knit with the Mexicali and it was pretty spectacular.

I did kind of wonder about the socks comment...looked at the information about the yarn....and then figured that you knew what you were talking about and that I was a moron.
