*sigh* you ladies sure do speed shop for yarn, I was watching Bets, while she was purchasing the peek for today. (I was just tickled, and thinking to myself, how every body else looked at the release of this pretty little yarn today, and the looks on your faces when things just popped out of your shopping carts. All I can say is you all are some speedy shoppers, I`m sure Anne is happy too, of course. Great stuff!!

Okay.. My dilemma; I would like to make a kitty sweater. Would love to use something from here since I’ve been posting long enough and *blush* and have purchased yet. SO. Maybe some Laines Du Nord Baby Cover in blueberry ice with the kitty in Endless Summer Collection Connemara in Cashmere blue or something light peachy. would that look dorky? Mixing blends like that. the gauges are pretty close. i think.
Looking for something in a worsted weight.
About 17 sts and 24rows=4" in stockinette stitch. [that`s what the instructions say]
*rubbing` sleepy eyes"

Okay a little nerdy tidbit from MOI. Hello my Name is Enid and I am a color BiAtch! (Well that`s what someone told me. heh) I found a COOL color toy.

http://colr.org/
This is way cool. In my humble opinion at least.
This is really for website schemes and such but, color is color, so what. K. ready?
I found a yarn color I liked on elann`s site. found the URL address for the picture
for example:

http://secure.elann.com/images/image1/y5224529.jpg

Then I took that address and entered into my color toy.
I did a "random from picture". Viola!!! Now you just get a monochromatic set then you pick a color square and then do "random from color". And boom you get some cool schemes.

I had a cooler color toy (say that 10x fast) than this one but I can`t find it. Hope you like it.

This is cool but only if you are interested in how people with different variations of color blindness see color.

Alright enough, out of geekdom land and back to reality. <fade in a little Napoleon Dynamite keyboard music> I`m sleepy and I`m going to bed. But if somebody is up and would like to help me out. That would be swell. Thanks and good night!

Enid,
What better project to try a fiber mix than a cat sweater? It`s small, the recipient can`t complain if he doesn`t like the yarn mix/color scheme. Althought I will be interested to see how much he likes the concept of a sweater.

Enid,
You definitely need to come to a SnB - we could use your sense of humor.

You and Bets definitely liven up your little town. Every time I turn on the news they are finding a body down there!

Hello Libby,

Big Grin I think I’m just going to use one brand, instead of mixing cotton, and wool like had originally thought of doing.

The Laines Du Nord Baby Cover, the sweater in blueberry ice or Confetti and the kitty in snowflake. or vice versa. I`m going to wait till tonight to decide. I might change my mind again by then. Big Grin

The website? Which one have you gone to?
colr.org? Do you have a place where you store photos? Okay
Let’s say you wanted to make something really special with the Filatura Di Crosa Diwa. Let’s say cedar. Let`s also pretend that all the colors are available.
{Everything that is posted on a website has an address (url)}
To find that address you can right click on the image.
Mozilla Firefox web browser users- you can do a right click>view image. and up at the address bar you will see this:
(I picked cedar)

http://secure.elann.com/images/image1/y5226983.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://secure.elann.com/images/image1/y5226983.jpg

Internet Explorer users: right click on the photo > click on properties. You will find the same address there.
[You can use any image as long as it has a URL.]
Alright then you go to www.colr.org
And in the spot where it says Image URL: put this in
http://secure.elann.com/images/image1/y5226983.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://secure.elann.com/images/image1/y5226983.jpg
Then click Load. (Usually there is a really pretty picture there but now you should see the color block of cedar in it place.

Below where it says Scheme:
Click on [Random From Image]

You’ll probably get a grouping of colors and it`s mostly all the same color,
The next thing you can do is click on one of the color squares. And after that click on [Random from Colr]

the color picker will randomly select coordinating colors that you can use as a scheme on a website or when you are design some painting or something artsy fartsy.

I bet it sounds complicated but it really isn`t. Once you`ve been to the site, the interface is not threatening in appearance. Have fun! Design your hearts out.

xxx,
Enid

You have a point there. I wonder how long the little sweater would stay on. Hopefully long enough for a quick picture. ;)
