Good for you Shui Kuen. Paris was my favority color, it will look wonderful on you. Which pattern in the book are you planning to make? It is so cold up there you SHOULD have something special, light and WARM. I can`t wait to see it. Vicarious enjoyment, I keep telling myself is a good thing. Daryl

SK, glad you and Amy got your yarn. I looked and looked and the Paris was my favorite color too. You`ll knit this yarn into a beautiful sweater, your climate is so cold you`ll wear it and I think it`s a great Christmas present for YOU. I`m going to pass this time, I really want the Sierra for an Elsebeth Lavold design. You can tell me all about yours and I`ll have fun with that. And yes, you do deserve good yarn. :-}

Daryl: your DD`s Ming blue sweater is just gorgeous. I know that yarn is really soft and luxurious. You DDs are lucky to have you, a good knitter and loving mother. Daryl, I love the one that has the hearts all the way down the center and the one which uses Paris color.

Yes, SK, that`s the one. I`ve wanted to make that sweater since I first saw it. Thom picked out my color for it. I think he and BB have strong feelings about what colors we should wear. ;-}

Oh, SK!

Both you and Benne have husbands with an eye! I am afraid that for all his fun and good humour, Mark doesn`t have one. No shopping gene, either.

I know that whatever you make, it will be absolutely beautiful! Can`t wait to see it.

SK,

That`s a great idea with all that wonderful mohair and the accompanying yarns. Isn`t it nice how elann color coordinates our samples? I can`t wait to see this scarf. I have my other sample skeins and the ones I purchased that would be good for this too. Heck, I`ve got enough for a shawl or stole. :-}

Benne: I casted on my sample skein scarf last night, and casted off and weaved in all the ends this morning. Can I count the total 200 yards, even mostly are double and some triple.

Oh yeah, SK, every inch of yarn counts. The idea is to reduce the number of yards in our stash any way we can. Any way you do it is stellar. :-} Please, show us your scarf, I can`t wait to see it!

Do you want help deciding to subscribe? It makes a huge difference to be able to really feel the yarn and to knit a little swatch. I am really happy that I subscribe. There. Did that help?

Libby, Cate is right, the skeins are very helpful when deciding on a a yarn. I knit up the little skeins and see how the yarn acts and feels. I don`t think the subscription counts against the yarn diet. It`s a way of refining your purchases. Was that enabling too blatant??? ;-}
