Hi SK!
It`s nice to be thought of, you and BB are never far from my mind. I have so many treasures in the woods I`d like to share with you.
Nic was down and left Monday afternoon. We went to a plant nursery and I bought some perennials for the hummers. I`m a little tired this week, but Spring is really here, so much beauty and bird activity, it`s hard to get anything done but watch birds. Tell BB I could just sit in the chairs and happily observe with you and him. I`ve been reading _At Knits End - Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much_ by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. I love it! Very funny and wry. And tonight, I`m home alone, fixing myself one of my favorites, fried chicken gizzards and livers. I`m such a hick! Even Thom, who is a native Tennessean, calls me one. D$#% straight, and proud of it! LOL I have a knitting project I`m working out on my knitting software, I have to get my motifs right on the chart. The software really is great, gets me off the path of blind follower and into "pithy knitter" status. HA!

I am really enjoying that book. It came at just the right time for me.
Oh, Benne I was born and raised in New York City, but I eat chicken gizzards and livers. Just add a dash of hot sauce. So I must be a hick too. I have lived in the south so long I can hardly remember living anyplace else. We seem to be having a burst of cardinals this year. A pair is staking out one of the big forsythia bush. They certainly stand out against the yellow flowers.

Hi Libby,
I`m using the Knitting Software Stitch and Motif Maker 3.0. I bought it here at elann and I really like it. I haven`t used other knitting software but it`s easy to use without reading a giant manual, which I`d never do anyway. lol

Oh, a little sherry in cooking and marinade improves most anything, doesn`t it? :-}
Nic loves her sweater, she was suitably impressed with the cabling on the front (good girl!). That`s the way to keep Mama knitting for you!
