I must report that I am regaining some strength and recovering from my Feb. 15 surgery. Today I tutored 4 hours and feel tired but not exhausted.
Report on the projects I finished in the past month:
royal blue WB and Outback mohair sweater (it`s like a coat jacket but soft and warm); a bright red worsted wool lace shawl knit on US 6 needles; adult or adolescent poncho in Outback variegated wool; WB 1 ply scarf in feather and fan lace (a la Cheryl Oberle`s folk shawl pattern); plus 6-8 scarves (eyelash plus SITM for body), plus yarn winding and lots of spinning.
Now I won`t tell you when some of the big projects were started but I will say it`s great to have them completed! I`m almost strong enuf to do some serious housekeeping! Thanks for your kind words and thoughts during these weeks. Happy knitting, Jamie, who is still digital camera challenged or you could see and pic or two

Jamie,

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. I`ve wished many a morning I could zip over to your house with a thermos of good coffee and some decadent breakfast rolls with my knitting in tow.
You have really been knitting up a storm! Your projects sound wonderful and it is such a good feeling to finish so many things. Ach, that housekeeping will be there to be done when you`re up to it. It`ll keep, I promise. :-} Reserve your strength, and heal. Knitting and spinning, doing things you enjoy will help you get stronger.
Best,
Benne

Dear Jamie,
I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and well on your way to a full recovery. Isn`t it great to have wonderful big projects done? That`s SO much better than housework!
Take care- Bri

Hi Jamie,
Just remember what Joan Rivers said:
Make the bed & wash the dishes. Six months later you have to do it all over again.
Glad you are doing better.

Congratulations on being on the mend!

Wish we could see the knitting... it sounds so pretty!

Housework???? Bah! Nobody ever uttered from their deathbed, "Dear God, I wish I`d spent more time tidying up the house and less time knitting!"

And nobody ever said to their children:

"Sit down, I want to tell you the story of of our family as I give you this treasured bit of housework that has been handed down through the generations... it was made with love by your great-great-great grandma who had a real magic for housework and poured all of her love for the future children of her family into her fine housework as she houseworked away by candlelight in the wee hours of the morning, a smile in her heart, and the rhythm of life itself clicking calmly on as she houseworked..."

Hi Jamie

Take really good care of yourself and don`t even think about attempting anything you don`t want to do. No one ever questions `doctor`s orders`,; now I`m sure that the doctor said rest and relax. We all know that rest and relax = knitting, so you are just following orders!

Take care

Thanks for all for your positive and caring words! Today I just relaxed the day away, except for one shopping outing which provided some needed walking. Tomorrow is a Board meeting (I take the minutes!), then home to write them and send to our monthly newsletter. My fiber related guild is some work and lots and lots of play! Jamie
