Just wanted to share my good news with you all. This morning (it was memorable, all half dressed and digging through yarn for the ringing phone), I learned that I have been accepted into the University of Kentucky`s PhD. program in Gerontology with full funding for Fall 2005. I have until April 15 to make my final decision as well as to hear about another application. I truly appreciated your support and this process and will let you know my final decision.
With many thanks- Bri

Bri, that`s wonderful news! Hey, we all know you`re a smart cookie, but it`s good to have it recognized by those who can help you advance in your career. :-} Way to go, girl.
Best,

Oh, thanks for being so wonderful, everyone. I didn`t realize how much I wanted it until these past couple of restless nights when I thought, what if I get declined admission (sounds better than rejected!). I think I am going to have a moving destashing sale. Any takers???
You are all so appreciated! Bri

Congratulations, Bri! I`m curious--what are you planning to do after finishing the PhD? What prompted your interest in gerontology? I thought of the field sometime in mid-life but now I`m getting into your target age (whatever that is!!). Best wishes for you! Happy knitting, too, Jamie

Congratulatuions, Bri! Hope your final decision does not turn out to be too difficult - although that falls in the "good problem" category...lol
What are you going to knit to celebrate?

Congratulations Bri. We knew you could do it, it was only a question of whether the committee had the smarts to realize what an asset you will be. What a great piece of springtime news. Daryl
