Your shawl is gorgeous! The color is really pretty-does the yarn have a shimmer to it? Is this a Christmas gift for you?

Can`t take the credit, chaps, it`s Theresa`s! LOL
She left it at my house on Saturday night (she probably forgot it because she was so tired, they didn`t leave until about 3.00am because we were all having such larks (neh, neh, heehee) - so I thought I`d surprise her by posting it as she is digital camera-less. It`s lovely and soft and looks great on her. It has a beautiful sheen to it, as well.
Eileen.

Yo, Theresa, good job! Beautiful color and knitting! I`m suitably impressed. I`ll bet it feels wonderful too. And you knit on through the rain in your house, a very determined woman indeed! Benne

Thank you all, and I`ll get you for this, Casey (Hee Hee Hee as she herself says) the pattern is from the fall IK and there is nothing wrong with it, but you have to avoid the temptation to use markers to separate the repeats - it don`t work like that... It calls for 2 strands of laceweight, but if you read the pattern carefully you find it used 2/3 or so of 440 yards, doubled - my math is not great, but I used less than 400 yards and I think this would be great for those of you who have 4 balls of the baby silk... Hi!
Hopefully, I`ll be joining you by next weekend-I was on row 65 and found I was lost...time to tink! I`ve had to back up alot. You, on the other hand, probably blasted thru it like two small animals-you know! ;-)
Yours looks terrific, and I am REALLY glad E snuck that up on you, because we NEVER get to see your stuff!

Thank goodness the baby silk is all out of my favorite colors or I would be indulging again. I may have to readjust my plans for the boxes on their way. Your shawl is truly beautiful, and I could USE a shawl...Daryl

Do you think this shawl would work for the Jo Sharp mohair that is currently tempting me from the sneak peeks? I just love the colors of that mohair!!!!

It is stunning and haunting... in that I keep seeing it when I think I`m not thinking of anything. But the pattern... there is no place to GET the Fall IK now, is there? The stitch is very lovely, but the thing that intrigues me the most is that it looks like there are no increases made at the center back, are they all made at the ends of rows?

I happen to have the Fall IK so I`m in good shape but you can go to the website and they will sell you individual patterns for $4.

There definately are increases in the center back - one on each side of the center stitch. I do think it would work in the Jo sharp mohair, just be sure to use a large enough needle - I think I used an 8. This is one of those things you could do in any guage
Just - swatch to get it as open as you like it Do as many repeats as it takes to make it almost as long as you want and Finish with the edging.
I do have to say that Cuzco might be a stretch, though!

Oh, thanks for th tip on how to get the pattern even though the magazines are all sold out everywhere! I am just thinking about this thing too much, and against all previous personal trends, i believe I am going to... (drumroll, please...) floow a pattern! So I`ve ordered that one and intend to do it in silk. How can I NOT?????? (Though a sick portion of my brain is already saying... this would convert to a very lovely poncho, wouldn`t it???)
