I`ve been watching and learning a lot the last few months from all you avid, talented knitters
So I thought I`d take the plunge and join in. I thought I was going crazy the last couple of years. I suddenly developed this urge to start a stash(I`ve done quite well in that department). I knit every chance I get. Mostly for others--friends and family--just for the fun of it. I defrog a lot. Try new pattern stitches just to see what they are like. etc., etc., etc.I also live not to far from Saltspring Island and am thinking very seriously of joining the get together in Sept if it comes to fruition. So now I have taken the plunge---Its not so scary.

Since there is a another Heather, does this mean I should change my name? OOoo, can I pick something exotic like...Sherherazad! And then you can just call me Zadie, lol. Guess not huh? Oh well I guess I`ll just stay Heather and the new Heather will be HeatherL, sigh.lol

I read for a few months before I got the nerve to sign on too. Now they can`t shut me up. lol I love to try new patterns stitches too and read stitch libraries for fun. I think we`re goners! It would be great if you could join up with some of the others at Saltspring Island. Wish I could go, but not this year.:-{ Anyway, glad you jumped in with us.

Welcome Heather - great to have another person contributing to the pool of knowledge here! There`s nothing to be scared of... well, maybe Benne - but she`s a continent away from you, so I think you`re safe!
