Any suggestions about using the unspun yarn. When using it I seem to use it just as it comes from the ball. I try to twist is a little but to no avail. I love the look and feel of the knit. Want to improve my technique so I can use it more.

Kathryn,
I have only used part of my mountain of WB so far, and had pretty much the same problem, although the part that I used went through the dry cleaners fine and didn`t fall apart...But for my next foray, I`ve decided to run along a very fine strong wool strand (i.e., Jaggerspun 2/4 or Glace) to reinforce the WB while I`m working on it...If your stash permits, see if you don`t have something along this line as a shortcut for using the WB; otherwise, I guess we`ll have to "twist again" and again, etc.

check out the link to article from Knitters. It can be found on the White Buffalo Unspun page on this site. They say to start by twisting a couple of meters/yards not just a couple of twists.

Hi Kathryn, You can use the WB as it comes off the ball. It will get a slight twist as you knit it. I is very strong with the 6 strands or with 3 strands (I explained in a previous notes how to divide it into 3 strand balls). I use it with #10 needles and 3 strands to make mittens, hats, and sweaters. I will be starting a poncho soon. It is delicate in the unspun strands but wears very well after knitting. I have been using WB and unspun Lopi for about 10 years. It makes wonderful soft and warm mittens and sweaters. ACB told us that the company is soon to have a three strand WB unspun and that will certainly please a lot of us who want a yarn to work with #9 and #10 needles (about 3 1/2sts per inch. Enjoy. More questions. Just ask. Jamie
