I save the text in a text file, as most of the patterns have both words and charts and I prefer words; if I need the charts I save them as a .jpg to print separately. You can usually save a pattern in html format which would print both.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Hi.<br/>I'm wondering if Elann has any plans to offer their free patterns in PDF format.  I just spent some frustrating time trying to get the new cashmere yarn pattern from Petra to print out properly.  Part of the problem is my somewhat-elderly printer (margin problems, can't find the cure), but I do wish the patterns were in PDFs, just so they'd print out in a nicer format - and perhaps with a bit more compact layout, so I don't waste so much paper.]]></description>
