Is there some trick to seeing this? The link took me to a paid subscriber page. I don`t pay for a subscription so I didn`t see anything. What is it? Curiosity is killing me. ;)

I had to poke around a bit. Go to Knitnet.com, and hit the sampler tab. I am in the "All gussied Up" article.
Can someone tell me how to get a screenshot? I want one!!

Bets, I see it! Cool. Do you use Firefox? If you do, there is a tab at the top that says "scrapbook." Click on that and you get all kinds of ways to save the page as a screenshot, etc. I think IE has something similar but I`ve never used it.

I don`t see the sampler tag - do you need a membership?

What a nice write-up, Bets! I do think your bag is one of the best felted designs I`ve seen. And it`s a great name!!

Oh, so that`s what this was about. I tried the link earlier and couldn`t get through because it wanted a login or something.
Bets, I just saw your blog post about this, and I emailed a screen shot to you.

Nice recognition, Bets! I love your bag, only wish I would get around to knitting and felting it! It`s a lovely shape and super motif! Jamie

Thank you, Jamie!
DD asked for one today. Only she wants one with ballet shoes on it. Which I suppose I could do if I learned how to felt, but it`s not like you can`t buy a bag with ballet shoes on it. (Grumpy woman, I am.) So I told her no, but find me some music, because it`s not like I can draw.

I might be able to help you with the music. Having taken piano lessons I know I have some sheet music somewhere, although it may take a little while since I haven`t unpacked it yet.

Don`t worry about it now, Marie, that is WAY back in my queue. Truth be told, BILLIE (the piano teacher) helped me when I was looking for music to do the original bag-I don`t know how to needlefelt and I needed something recognizeable and easy!!! I am trying to talk her into something for the music teacher, so DGD will be certain she`s not the only person in the universe.....Grandma is such an old stick!

Hey Bets, once DGD gets over the impression that she is the only person on earth I bet we could play with needle felting ballet shoes pretty easily. I`m thinking we could print out a pictue of shoes, which shouldn`t be hard to find, to appropriate size and use it as a tracing pattern. Needle felting is INCREDIBLY easy, I used needle felting to make the notes on the bags I did. Thought it would be faster than embroidery and it worked! Ballet shoes are just a question of getting the right shape and would be much easier to needle felt than embroider!

Oh, Daryl, DGD doesn`t know she`s the only person on earth, it`s her MOM! Knit ballet pants, needle felted bag, blah blah-and she doesn`t know how long it takes.
I wouldn`t mind doing stuff for the instructor, but you know.
