SK,
I`ve looked and can`t figure out how to describe where we are on the map. Go west and south of your original thought of where we are. There are nine ridges and one small white dot. That`s our house and the lake shows up dark with a light green strip between the lake and the house. I`ll try and get Thom to give you GPS coordinates for us. Then you can zero in for the helicopter yarn drop. ;-} Benne

Benne: it looks like 2 white dot or light green, sort of surrounding the lake. I counted the ridges, which is south west of the highway. The lake is continues to a dark circle shade river???. I send you the map again , and centered the house which I thought will be yours. Let me know, am I correct. Looks south of your place are very green, a lot of fields.SK

Hi Emily, I thought of you while I was watching the Iowa State vs Colorado football game last week. DOn`t know how anyone could play or sit thru the game in those conditions. Good game for ISU! Disappointing performance for CU! Are you adjusting to the Iowa weather? Jamie, who lived for years in Boulder and now 10 miles east

Oh Benne, I went home yesterday to let the dogs out and feed the parrots. My African Gray was dead! I feel so bad. She somehow got her foot caught in her cage and couldn`t get it out!! We had her for over 20 years. That must have been a terrible way to die. We still have Oliver, and I guess if one had to die, better it be Yurba because she would have been lost without Oliver, where I don`t think Oliver will miss Yurba. But, I am just so sorry this happened.

Oh Cheryl! I am so sorry. I know how close one gets to parrots, especially one you`ve had for so long. That is so sad, and I know you feel terrible about it happening. Sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, things like this happen and it`s just awful. I know you are very sad and upset and will miss Yerba very much.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. 20 years is a long time-she must have been your baby.

I knew Benne had a Gray - Didn`t know you did also. How many do you have?? What other birds do you have? We lived in Australia for a while, many years ago. We brought back a Galah - Rose breasted cockatoo - when we returned home. We had her for over 20 years also, and she died of cancer!

Yes, Cheryl, I do have Grays. I have a breeding pair and kept one of their babies. Plus I have a Quaker, Senegal, and Indian Ringneck.

Red, silver, cryptonite, antique gold. I still have some antique gold and cryptonie Quest to use with it for scarves. I didn`t get enough to make a shrug. Yet... B2

After I thought of the quest, I had to go back and get some antique gold opulent.
I was waiting for just the right pattern for the gift the yarn farie gave me a while back and I think that this is just what I was looking for!
Of course I immediately copied the pattern and I have to add it to the files at home (I`m at work).
Now I`m all excited again about the shrug!
Im just itching to swatch this thing.
Also I saw that they paired the platinum with the cream and was thinking that would be just gorgeous.
OK I"ll shut up now! Libby

I got the red... I just broke down and bought red lipstick and liner (rather than combining 3 shades of lipstick every time I wear red) now I have to justify the red lipstick w/ lots of red clothing! Its a cycle I`m goint to have to break someday. Regarding scarves..do you have a favorite pattern/combination? I have never purchased or seen the quest but I know it is a favorite.

I wanted to pick up some as well to save for next Christmas gifts but wondered how many balls would work for a scarf or small bag. Plan to combine it with a nice fluffy mohair like the upcoming one. Would 1 ball do it? On the Berrocco site, they use 1 ball of the Opulent FX when combining with another yarn. I can`t gauge this one for myself bc I haven`t even seen this yarn so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Joan
