T,
She has the most amazing attitude! She has had a hard life but is so cheerful and happy and upbeat all the time. She is the social butterfly of her apartment complex. Get this, until this year she still drove (ok, it was scary and no one would ride with her!) and she would got to the nursing homes, with her guitar, to cheer up the "old people". Most of them were younger than her! She doesn`t hear so well anymore so she sits and smiles at everyone. And she LOVES the attention she gets. Her ex-husband (my grandfather) is 90 and still lives alone. He recently had a stroke but is doing so well he thinks he will get his license back next week (whether or not my Uncle lets him have a car is another story).

Kim

Beautiful tanks! The scarf is also very pretty and wonderfully textured. It looks like the scarf would coordinate well with the Alba tank. The fitting of the side shaping can be tricky! I have a tank from three years ago that I`ve never worn; got to the waist and didn`t like how the hip portion was flaring out so I got this "great" (so I thought at the time!) idea to turn the body 90deg so that the shaping would emanate from center front and center back. When it was done I had the subtle shaping at the sides that I wanted but it was flaring out at the abdomen---bad! So if I ever (doubtful, with my youthful figure disappearing!) attempt this again I`ll try for two princess darts under the bust. Anyway, great knitting job, and both yarns sound like winners, pleasant to knit with and frog-survivable!
Sandra

The Fortissima renewed my faith in cotton. It is soft and pliable. My hands didn`t hardly hurt at all with it. It took less than 3 balls to make the tank. I will definitely grab more if it comes back!!!!

The pattern is at knitty.com and they do have it on a person. I am contemplating taking the Alba tank apart and using the yarn for the knitty pattern but without the details on the bottom. I don`t think the Alba would enhance the details because it is so thick. But the rest of the Soleil pattern is just as wonderful in styling.

Gosh, these are GREAT! I especially love the tank with the horseshoe lace at the bottom... stunning!

Gotta say I would like to see both of them actually on a person...

That Fortissima must be so comfortable; it is such a soft feather-light yarn! That`s a much better use for it than socks... how many balls of yarn did that require? I can`t stop looking at it! It`s THE PERFECT tank top!

Bravo, great work on such a variety of projects! Big question- are they gifts or do they get to stay with you forever? Bri
